“The best part of being a necromancer is making new friends.”
DESCRIPTION:
This is the first pattern in my Dungeons and Dragons collection, based off of the player characters in the now-three-year-long epic campaign I play in. These mitts are themed after my player character, Drusilla.
Drusilla is an exasperated phD candidate who doubles as a necromancer, and while maybe not instantly likable, she — and her undead interns — are definitely good people to have on your side.
The Necromancer mitts feature arcane sigils, undead ichor, and a complex skull chart divided across the back of both hands. The mitts are knit with fingering weight yarn in two contrasting colors. Instructions for three different sizes are included, with size-specific charts for each hand.
Included in this pattern are two PDFs-- one for the pattern, and one for my colorwork phototutorial.
SIZING:
7.5”/8”/8.5” (19/20/21.5 cm) hand circumference, as measured around the widest part of the palm.
GAUGE:
35 sts x 40 rounds over 4” (10 cm) in colorwork knitting after blocking. Depending on your style of knitting, you may need to go up or down a needle size in order to obtain gauge on stranded colorwork.
