This is the cardigan version of my Last Christmas sweater, very simple sweater, I made it last year for myself, just for Christmas. I had so little time to make it, only two weeks and it has been a sort of Christmas challenge. I needed a red basic sweater, very festive, light and warm, a little fuzzy (I love mohair) and very simple, but sleeves are slightly puffed at the cuffs, perfect with my favorite silk shirt. I used the top down contiguous method by Susie Myers. The yarns I picked for this project are Holst Garn Supersoft, a super light shetland-merino mix with a surprisingly rich color card, maybe one of the most interesting I’ve ever seen, and Silk Mohair by Lana Gatto, a blend of 75% kid mohair e 25% silk, a perfect match for the poppy red of the other yarn.
For this cardigan I used Holst Garn Supersoft in Heath green and a Madil lime green silk mohair (that has been in my stash for many years).
The cardigan is size S, modeled with about 5 cm of ease.

Questa è la versione cardigan del pullover Last Christmas, un maglioncino molto semplice, che ho voluto realizzare per me a dicembre 2018, proprio per poterlo indossare a Natale. Avevo pochissimo tempo per farlo, circa due settimane ed è stata una vera e propria sfida natalizia riuscire a terminarlo in tempo. Volevo un maglioncino rosso, molto festivo, leggero e caldo, un po’ peloso (adoro il mohair) e dalla linea essenziale, ma con le maniche leggermente a sbuffo, da portare sulla mia camicia di seta preferita. Per la costruzione delle spalle ho usato il metodo top down contiguous di Susie Myers. I filati che ho utilizzato: Supersoft di Holst Garn, è un mix di merino e shetland leggerissimo e con una cartella colori incredibilmente ricca, probabilmente una delle più interessanti che abbia mai visto, e Silk Mohair di Lana Gatto, una miscela di 75% kid mohair e 25% seta, che ho scelto perché aveva un colore perfettamente abbinabile al rosso papavero che avevo scelto per il mio maglione. Per questa versione invece ho usato Holst Garn Supersoft in verde Heath e un mohair seta della Madil (che avevo acquistato molti anni fa allo spaccio Grignasco).

Il cardigan nelle foto è una taglia S indossata con un agio di circa 5 cm.
