This is a top down sock with a i-cord-cast-on and a gusset heel with short rows.
It uses a japanese overall pattern and ribs formed which stitches knit in respective stitch below. They devide by working purl stitche for the gusset, come together again on the foot and finally are unified in the toe.
The pattern is called Nobara, which is the japanese word for wild rose, which reflects the yarn color and the delicateness of the pattern.
