After making the Nordic Lace Hat, I thought the pattern repeat would look good on a pair of mittens too! My hands get really cold at work, so I wanted something stylish I could wear but still type at the same time! Thus the Nordic Lace Mittens were born… :)

Two versions of the pattern are available when you click to buy, to knit flat or in the round.

• Manos Del Uruguay Silk Blend DK (DK weight, 70% Extra Fine Merino, 30% Silk, 50g/135m/148yds)

Small Size only
To work flat:
• A pair of 3.25mm (UK 10/US 3) needles
• A short 3.25mm (UK 10/US 3) circular needle for working thumb sts back and forth
• A pair of 3.5mm (UK 10-9/US 4) needles

To work in the round:
• A set of 3.25mm (UK 10/US 3) double pointed needles (DPNs) or a circular needle, 60cm long for Magic Loop method
• A set of 3.5mm (UK 10-9/US 4) double pointed needles (DPNs) or a circular needle, 60cm long for Magic Loop method

Medium Size only
To work flat:
