These cosy mittens and hat will keep you warm even in the worst New England weather. They are a quick knit in chunky yarn and a perfect blank slate for simple embellishments.

It takes just a little bit more than one skein of Northampton Bulky or Malabrigo Chunky to make the mittens You might get away with one skein if you take a couple of rows out of the cuffs, or, if your hands are small, you can do fewer rows in the palm section. Or just use the second skein to make a matching hat like I did!
