NYC LDS Temple chart
This is a chart for crocheting an image of the New York City LDS Temple.
Each square in the chart represents a sc st, work in rows from the bottom up or top down, reading the chart from left to right then right to left for the next row. Each time you get to a square that is of a different color you change the color of yarn you are working with to the similar color of yarn.
I find it easiest to use the version of the chart where it is in 2 parts since it is largest (pages 2&3) then as I finish each row I will cross it out with a pen or pencil, it makes it easier to keep track of which row I am on.
When changing colors, if you have a small narrow section that is of a different color that is surrounded by all one color I will carry the main color under the stitches while working the small section, other wise I will have a different ball of yarn for each section, I do not recommend carrying the yarn under for large sections, it could distort the stitches and make that section of the blanket stiff.
This chart can be worked with any size yarn and hook, just be sure that the hook size is the right size for the yarn being used.
Size is determined by yarn and hook used and your gauge.
