I wanted to make a simple baby blanket, using stockinette for the middle and then a fancy lace edging. I found an old, Danish doily pattern that was very interesting. It had the simplicity I wanted, it had a texture change and I could tell that after blocking it would have a nice scalloped edge. After charting and making changes to the stitch pattern; the blanket came together.

At its widest point it is 48” the shortest point is 42”.
