Yarn: 350g (367yd/336m) Rico Design essentials big (super chunky yarn) - or 400g (408yd/368m) Rowan Big Wool.
Needles: straight or circular, to knit flat. For Rico Design Essentials Big: Metric: 8mm; UK and Canadian: size 0; US: size 11. For Rowan Big Wool: Metric: 10mm; UK and Canadian: size 0; US: size 15
Other requirements: 2 x 8mm cable ndls, OR two 8 mm dpns for the Rico yarn (or substitute two 10mm cable ndls or dpns for the Rowan yarn).
