Otaki Hat
小滝 | OTAKI Japanese (Romanji) for (n) cascade. Pron. “OHH-tuckhee”.
The twisted stocking stitch patterns reminiscent of gentle water cascading and rippling in a mountain stream.
A delightful hat melding ribbed edge band with textured slouch to soften the silhouette; modern styling with an elegant edge.
Two variations of the design are included in the pattern; a modern assymmetric rib banded hat using short-row shaping to the nape (Model A) and another version with standard rib band (Model B).
Notes
The written pattern provides detailed instructions, along with photos and schematic. The hat is seamless, worked in the round.
