Worked in Paintbox Yarns Simply DK in frosty shades, the Painted Snowflakes Blanket combines the traditional snowflake with a pretty colour palette for a modern take on the holiday blanket. The colour scheme is easily changed to fit your seasonal palette and the pattern can easily be adapted to make a table runner.

Each snowflake hexagon is worked individually and then joined on the last round with a join-as-you-go method. As well as the central snowflake, each hexagon has a pretty mini snowflake edging. This means you can make the blanket as small or large as you would like.
Although listed as an intermediate pattern, a very confident beginner who has mastered the basic stitches should be able to make it.
