Construction Notes
This cozy cable sweater is knitted in pieces. Sleeves may be worked in the round or flat. A shawl collar, shaped with short rows, is worked separately and is sewn in. Three braided cables are placed on the front and two on the back.
Worked in bulky yarn, it’s a surprisingly quick knit.

Techniques
Short Rows

Work up to the last n stitches and wrap, as follows:
Insert right-hand (RH) needle into the front of the next stitch purlwise (pw), slip (sl) st onto RH needle, bring yarn to front of work, sl st back to left-hand (LH) needle; turn work, bring yarn to front (or back if purling), thereby completing the wrap.
Finish working this row.
On next row, when you come to the wrapped st, insert the needle into the wrap and the st to be knitted; knit together (or purl, as required).
