The path to naming this cowl is long and winding, and I won’t bore you with all of the details. Suffice it to say that Pauline Wayne was a cow. In fact, according to Wikipedia, she was perhaps the most famous Holstein ever, as she the official presidential pet to the 27th President of the United States, President William Howard Taft. Pauline Wayne lived and grazed on the White House lawn and provided milk for the first family. Unfortunately, she was the last presidential pet cow. The coloring on the cowl made naming it after this trailblazing cow a no-brainer.
