PEAFOWL
Peafowl is a sweater with a patterned yoke that resembles white peacock feathers. It is knit in the round with stranded knitting in the pattern. The technique of knitting in the round, and decreasing symmetrically around the yoke, is typical for Icelandic sweaters, lopapeysas, and is ideal for those new to knitting sweaters. The only seaming necessary, is few stitches where you attach the sleeves to the body with invisible stitches.
The sample sweater is knit in Big Merino Hug, the softest merino yarn you can imagine, which makes it a bliss to wear! Luckily, this yarn is made from ethically and organically produced merino wool, which makes sure you can wear it with a good conscience as well.
The sweater is knit bottom up. You start with either the body or the sleeves, then place them together on the needles and knit the yoke in one piece from chart. The yoke starts from the left side shoulder. Add some short rows after the chart to raise the neck slightly.
