Peckish (the little hen)
Peckish is a happy little hen. Place her on your desk or arrange her in a vignette on your favourite shelf with your house plants and other treasures.
Peckish is simple to knit, with fun stranded colourwork and a cosy round shape.

Skill Level
Peckish (the little hen) is worked flat on two needles. Instructions for the colour work include written instructions for the borders and a chart for the hearts - instructions & tips are given for first-time colourwork knitters.
If you’re new to stranded knitting, this pattern is suitable for first-time colourwork knitters. Other techniques include basic shaping.

KPC Novomerino DK 50g ball
1 x ball in Ivory (yarn A)
1 x ball in Navy (yarn B)
5g in Flame (yarn C)
5g in Beehive (yarn D)
Oddment of 4ply yarn, approx. 60cm.
Note: The eyes are worked in 4ply yarn. The drop in yarn weight makes embroidering the eyes easier. You could also use 3-6 strands of embroidery floss.
The yarn quantities given are enough to knit at least 2 chickens.
