These mittens are inspired by my Frenchiegirl Penny and i made the Patternchart after a photo of her.

The gauge for the mittens is approx 40 st/4 inches
The label of my yarn said 28 st. I knit pretty tight and used smaller needles to get this gauge.

I used a multicoloured yarn for the first section of the mitten but that is optional.
One 50 gr skein of each color is plenty.
