Pentacles
Take some gorgeously squishy Malabrigo Rios (or other worsted weight yarn) in contrasting colours, add a dash of 2x2 ribbing, a sprinkling of stranded knitting and some nifty crown decreases, and you have yourself a warm and cosy unisex Pentacles hat!
Knit in the round from the bottom up, Pentacles makes a perfect last minute gift knit, knitting up in a flash. Using less than 100 g of yarn, it’s also brilliant for stashbusting!
The stranded pattern is easy enough even for the most inexperienced of stranded knitters to execute. Additionally, floats are short enough not to need catching on the reverse of your hat.
