Pepper Puffin is a delightful seaside- inspired knit, with their charming sou’wester hat and playful fish.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the toys are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.25mm single pointed knitting needles (US 3).

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each shade.


NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, toy safety eyes for the puffin, beads for the fish eyes, and a 3.25mm crochet hook to work single crochet chains for the hat’s chin straps.

SIZES
One size only - Puffin sits at 20cm tall (not including the sou-wester hat), and the fish is 9cm long.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, knitting stripes, and seaming to finish.
