The Pinocchio sock will display to colors of any self striping yarn at its best. The model shown in the pattern is done with Knit Picks Felici Fingering, but you can just as well use Regia, Zauberball, Opal, Zitron, and other yarn with stripes or color gradients.

This fun to knit sock is done from the toe-up. You can use any toe-up method, with which you are familiar, and simply apply the instructions of the modules to your way of toe-up knitting. But in case you want to try a different way, or you have never knitted socks from the toe-up before, you will find all details that are needed in this pattern.

It is a modular knit, but there is no seaming required. All necessary techniques, like the kitchener stitch for example, will be explained in detail in photo tutorials at the end of the pattern. You will also find tutorials on the magical cast-on, a very flexible bind-off, and many other things, that might come in handy with any sock you will knit. The 9 page long tutorial section starts with an index, so that you can collect it separately for future reference.
