Ever wonder what to do with those leftover knitted swatches? Time to dig through your stash of unused swatches and make a Plant Pocket ~ the newest Swatch & Found design!
The Plant Pocket pattern includes instructions on how to make two fabric plant cozies made with a combination of laminated cotton/ oilcloth, cotton fabric, and most importantly KNITTED fabric (those left over swatches!).
Don’t have any swatches laying around? That’s okay! There are instructions in the pattern on how to make stockinette stitch, marled stockinette stitch, and single rib stitch swatches with 5 different weights of yarn (fingering, sport, dk, worsted, and aran). So you can use up your leftover bits of yarn too!!
This pattern is BEGINNER friendly for both KNITTERS and SEWISTS. It includes clear instructions, photo tutorials, and lots of helpful tips to give you the best coasters.

Materials
(1) Small knitted natural fiber swatch for each plant pocket OR as much as (1) 2 x 4” (5 x 10 cm) swatch for the small size and (1) 3 x 5” (7.5 x 12.5 cm) swatch for the large size
(1) Quarter yard or fat quarter of quilting cotton fabric for outer pocket for each plant pocket
(1) Quarter yard or fat quarter of laminated cotton/ oilcloth fabric for lining pocket for each plant pocket
