Materials Needed:
125-250 yards #4 worsted weight Red Heart Hopscotch in “Scooter”
45 yards #4 worsted weight Red Heart Super Saver in “White” for braided ties
15 yards #4 worsted weight Red Heart Super Saver in “Soft Navy”
5mm hook, or hook needed to obtain gauge
19 mm Paw-print button (Optional)

Stitches Used:
ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
sc2tog = single crochet 2 together
st/sts = stitch/stitches

Measurements:
Newborn: 7” wide by 4 ½“ tall
3 mos: 7 ½ wide by 5” tall
6 mos: 8” wide by 5 ½” tall
12 mos: 8 ½“ wide by 6” tall
Toddler: 9” wide by  6 ½” tall
Child: 9 ½“ wide by 7” tall
Teen/Adult: 10” wide by 7 1/2” tall

Gauge:
Using 5.5mm hook, 13 sc in 4”, 4 ¼“ across after round 7, or just over 4 ¾” across after round 8.

Additional Notes:
-ch 1 at beginning of round does not count as a stitch
-If you want a longer hat for child or teen/adult sizes, 2 rounds should add an additional 1/2” of length.
