The tapestry crochet Poppy Field Potholder is part of my “A Year of Potholders” collection, with one or two potholders for each month of the year.

For the month of August, I thought of a field of poppy flowers. The lines are very simple, and the two contrasting colors add a modern and cozy look to the finished hot pad.

Being made in tapestry crochet, this potholder is compact, doesn’t have any holes, and you can actually enjoy using it in the kitchen.

MATERIALS
– 3.5-mm (E/4 USA, 9 UK) Crochet Hook
– Aran (4, Medium) Cotton Yarn
– Tapestry Needle

GAUGE
22.5 sc for 21 rows in 4” (10 cm) worked in tapestry crochet.

SIZE
6.3” (16 cm).
