Power of Three Scarf
This totally reversible scarf was inspired by a hat and designed for my eldest sister. Knit in any yarn it is sure to please everyone. For best results use a tonal or long color change yarn that’s not too busy. Needles one or two sizes larger than recommended on the ball band make a nice, squishy neck snuggle.
A photo tutorial is provided for the LAKS pattern stitch.
July 2016 update: I’m designing a matching hat! If you’re interested please contact me to be a tester.
Cast on an even multiple of three stitches - each pattern repeat uses three stitches/three rows on one side and three stitches/three rows on the other side, plus three stitches for each icord edge, cast on and bind off … the Power of Three!
One skein of the yarns noted should be enough for a scarf crossed at your neck and tucked in your coat, or seamed for a cowl. Choose a soft yarn with a halo, or add a thin mohair yarn to match or contrast. The power is in you to create something gorgeous and to keep warm.
