Did you know that covering the pulse points on your wrists is a highly effective way of warming up—because that warmed blood will circulate through your body? So, you might want to knit these brightly patterned cuffs and call it a day. Or you might make the whole mitten. Either way, you will have practised working entrelac in the round, and you’ll have warm hands.

The mittens have an entrelac cuff worked in the round. The thumb is worked after finishing the side thumb gusset and before moving on to complete the rest of the hand. The pattern comes in nine sizes to fit every hand in the family.

This knitting pattern includes written directions and thoughtful details.

Sizes & Finished Measurements
To fit 3-4 yrs (5-7 yrs, 8-10 yrs, Adult XS, S)(M, L, XL, XXL).
Hand Circumference: 5 ½ (6, 6 ½, 7, 7 ½)(8, 8 ½, 9, 9 ½)“ / 14 (15, 16.5, 18, 19)(20.5, 21.5, 23, 24) cm.
Mittens fit better with a little negative ease, for a more comfortable fit, if your measurements are between two sizes, choose the smaller size for adults; but for children, choose the larger size so they have room to grow.

This is a great stash buster. Mix and match similar weight yarns and fibres to get the colour combination that pleases you. Ideally the fibre covering the hands should have some wool content for warmth.
