The finished cat measures approximately 5cm x 5cm (2in x 2in).

Purdy Cat is adorned in a delicate, frilled ruff and a pretty hat which is accessorised with a sparkling silver buckle. The cat is finished with embroidered details and a brooch bar. Purdy also looks lovely displayed in a picture frame.
Inspired by the Commedia dell’Arte, Purdy Cat is a member of an imaginary theatrical troupe.

I used Scheepjes Maxi Sweet Treat. The project takes just a small amount of each shade of thread.

• Stranded metallic embroidery thread
• Stranded cotton embroidery thread
• Sharp-ended needle
• Toy stuffing
• 2.5cm (1in) brooch bar
