Aren’t “trash pandas” just the cutest thing? Well, I certainly think they are. And this guy makes the greatest little cuddle buddy. With this crochet pattern, you can make your own 4-way jointed toy raccoon with moving arms and legs.
One PDF file, 17 pages. Pattern is written in English, using US crochet terminology. I included detailed instructions, many step-by-step photos and useful tips and tricks.
SIZE
25 cm (10”) tall, when crocheted with sport weight cotton-acrylic blend and a 2,50 mm hook.
DIFFICULTY
3: Intermediate – includes some less common crochet techniques and color changes.
SKILLS REQUIRED
* Crocheting in spiral
• Slip stitch, single crochet stitch
• Increasing and decreasing
YOU WILL NEED
• Yarn. I used Scheepjes ‘Stone Washed’, a sport weight cotton and acrylic blend, 130 m = 50 g (142 yd = 50 g) / 12 wpi / 2: fine. You will need about 70 g of light gray, 17 g of dark gray and 7 g of white yarn.
• 2,50 - 3,50 mm crochet hook (US size 2/C - 4/E) or according to the yarn.
• Polyester fiberfill, wool, wadding for stuffing.
• 9 mm (1/3”) safety eyes and a 12 mm (1/2”) triangular safety nose or buttons, beads, felt etc.
• Two 20 mm (4/5”) and two 15 mm (3/5”) doll joints or safety eyes or buttons and thread.
• Black cotton embroidery floss.
• Yarn needle, scissors, stitch marker.
