A temperate rain forest, Ketchikan averages 24-25 inches of rain through its three summer months and over 13 feet a rain per year. In fact, during 2020, summer records were broken when the city sported over 47 inches of rain for the season. That copious amount of water falls on a gorgeous assortment of wildlife from black bear to bald eagle and varied terrain ranging from salmon-filled shores to 3,000-foot mountain peaks.
