This Rainy Day Hat crochet pattern was created during Hurricane Matthew. As with most hurricanes, there was lots of rain, wind, destruction, flooding, and no electricity. A great distraction to the howling wind, that sounded like a never-ending train, and torrential rain is to crochet. This is an easy pattern with an easy to remember stitch pattern to create texture, and a quick project! And what pairs better with a hat than a poncho! Check out the Hooded Poncho, made with the same stitch pattern, to elevate your style during the fall and winter. Although the weather is warming in the northern hemisphere, this hat can be worn year-round if you don’t use a yarn with a large percentage of wool. It’s loose enough to hide even the longest hair on a bad hair day.
