Ren kicks off our Night at the Movies sock club! This sock pattern is inspired by the movie Footloose. When I think of movies that make me start tapping my toes, Footloose is the first to come to mind. Kevin Bacon has ALL the moves!
Things I learned from Footloose when I was a kid:
- Speak your mind.
- Challenge the system - they don’t always know what’s best. Stand up for what you believe in.
- Nothing fires me up like dancing to 80’s music. Hello, every 80’s movie soundtrack with Kenny Loggins! I bop around to the music throughout this movie.
Worked in the round, Ren contains both cuff-down and toe-up written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. The pattern has instructions for an afterthought heel, but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using.
The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the design could be worked on double-pointed needles or mini-circulars instead should you prefer.
