This is the 3rd and final installment of my set of dk, no wrap, crescent shaped shawls. As with the other two shawls (Calm and Perseverance), this shawl is easy. The lace pattern is written and charted, so you can choose which way you prefer to work. There are no wraps on the easy short rows. Complete directions are included for working from the big, easy to read chart. You need to know (or learn) to knit, purl, ssk, k2tog, yo - that’s it! Not everyone knows this, but I chart my own lace. Most of my patterns have lace you won’t find anywhere else!

The yarn chosen is “Milo” from Manos del Uruguay. It’s a merino/linen blend. I chose 2 colors - a solid and a multi-color. You can use just one color if you’d prefer; just get two skeins. The yarn is perfect for summer, lightweight and drapes beautifully. It’s perfect for when the a/c is a bit too cold or for slow evening walks. It’s a tiny bit smaller than the other two of the series, good for warmer weather.

The world is going through a reckoning at the moment. It all remains to be seen if we can defeat the bad, retain the good, and move forward with new higher ideals. Can we learn the lessons that are needed to be learned and take the solutions to heart? Can we move forward to better times with a place in our hearts for all people? Can we, as a people, pick up the pieces, discard the wrong, keep the right, and begin a new better way of living? Can we beat racism, the naysayers, the pessimists? Can we do what’s best for those most vulnerable, even during a pandemic? Let’s join hearts and hands and be as resilient as needed to be the kind of humans we should and can be.
