Description
This is designed to be worn over a baseball cap. When worn, one part of the band goes over the brim and one underneath, across the forehead. It takes a little bit of work to get this on the hat and head just right the first time.
TIP: I put the brim of the hat through the slit and then both on my head. I make sure the top of the band is down, next to the brim. If preferred, the top edge of the piece across the forehead can be tucked up under the hat.
This can also be made without the slit for a ear/neck warmer.

Materials
Yarn: 150 yards worsted weight yarn. Sample yarn: Red Heart Super Saver Ombre.
Crochet Hook: I (5.5 mm)
Optional - J (6mm)
Notions: Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Optional: Measuring tape, scissors
