These mittens feature roosters,
the sign of 2017 in Chinese zodiac, which is a traditional way of counting years in Japan.
The roosters are accompanied with stylized pine motif, while the palm side is patterned with shippo motif, used in traditional Japanese crafts.
The mittens are worked from cuff to fingertip in the round with double-pointed needles, or circular needle with magic loop.

このミトンは、日本の年を表しかたのひとつ「干支」をテーマにしたデザインです。
2017年の干支は「酉」なので、にわとりをメインにしています。
手の甲には「松」をイメージした柄と、手の平には日本の手工芸によく使用される「七宝柄」を配しています。
編み方は５本棒針またはマジックループで手首から指先に向かって編んでいく方法です。
