The history of the cuff bracelet as adornment is intriguing and extending through ages. In the past the cuff was an important measure of social class and family. It was worn by the Romans, Egyptians, throughout Africa, China and the Americas made in various materials and showing different designs denoting culture and tradition. Today cuff bracelets are among the most popular of jewelry items.

To make this cuff you will need:

  • sport cotton yarn in 4 colors and 1.9 mm steel hook (hook #5 US). Beads – (optional)
  • 60 terracotta (2mm/ 0.08”)
  • 180 pink (2mm / 0.08”)
  • approx. 70 light grey (2mm / 0.08”)
  • 27 grey sequins
  • 3 plastic rings 2 cm / 0.8” in diameter
  • 1 round bead sewing thread and needle

Used terms in American terminology: chain (ch), slip stitch (sl st), skip (sk), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), 3-ch picot.

Finished measurements: 16 cm / 6.6” (without loops) in length and 10 cm / 3.9” in width (at the widest point).
