The pattern has been updated to use a 4ply yarn instead of Wollmeise Lace

Rubies and Steel is a semi-circular (and ever so slightly crescent shaped) shawl, knitted top down.

The lace is worked with a second colour and has an attractive and modern look to it.

Both written and charted directions are provided for the lace panel.

For the sample shown I used 3 skeins of SPARTAN (100% Superwash BFL, colours can be found here): 2 skeins for the main colour and 1 skein for the contrasting colour.
Washed and gently blocked it measures approx. 165 cm long and 60 cm deep.
