Part 9 Sleeve ribbing

Bind off loosely.
This cozy raglan sweater is worked top down and all in one piece. It has a slight increase in the bust section. A simple rib pattern is created around the neckline, bottom border and sleeves. The fit is comfortably loose with full sleeves. You’ll enjoy wearing this one for sure. It knits up quickly with an aran weight yarn, so you can wear it soon.

Written pattern for sizes S-34/36/38”, M-40/42/44”, L- 46/48/50” with a build in positive ease ranging from 13” to 20” depending on the size you knit.

Yarn
Voluming, an aran weight yarn. 300 yards/200 grams per skein in a super soft acrylic. It’s washable in the gentle cycle with warm water. 2/3/3 skeins used. Knit kits at Yarnz2go.

Notions needed
Two US size 11 (8 mm) circular needles, a 16” (41 cm) and a 36” (102 cm) in length.
Scrap yarn or interchangeable cords for placing sleeve stitches on hold.
7 markers, one different to mark beginning of round.
Tapestry needle or crochet hook for finishing.

Gauge
9 sts and 15 rows in 4” of stockinette stitch.

Techniques applied
Knitting and purling in the round, raglan increases, yarn overs, placing sections on hold, picking stitches up again, weaving in ends. Blocking is optional, the sample as shown was not blocked.
