One easy and grateful summer project - romantic, sophisticated, summer brimmed hat, with simply brioche motive, ornamental texture and nice mandala crown. I used shades of beige, but you can choose your favorite color combination, two different colors and wear both sides, like two different hats.

You need:
1. Skills: basic brioche- knitting knowledge, knitting in the round,
basic crochet stitches (at the end, for the brim of hat);
2. Needles:
* 16” (40cm) circular needle (for hats), in US 4 / 3,5mm;
* US 4 / 3,5mm DPN’s (4+1 double pointed needles);
* hook 3,0mm and tapestry needle for weaving in ends;
3. Yarns / threads (must be tightly twisted):
a) MC (main color, on front side) DK weight thread - 2x50gr, 125m/50gr (you need max ~ 200m/~218yards) beige mercerized cotton yarn (I used “Tina” by St George-Serbia),
and
b) CC (contrast color, on back side) thread - 1x25gr, 150m/25gr (~164yards) beige, merc. cotton with gold lame (I used “Manuela exclusive” by St George-Serbia, crochet thread).
If you don‘t like shades from one color for 2 color brioche, please choose your favorite color combination.
4. Stitch markers: 1 basic (M1) + 16 auxiliary (in different color);

Shown hat – normal woman’s size (L/XL)
SIZE – one size; this is very elastic pattern;
depth – 20cm/8”, circumference (around the head) minimum 50cm/20”,
hat’s brim circumference 128cm/51,2”
Gauge: 18 sts and 21 rows in fixed brioche motive into 10 x 10cm / 4 x 4”
