Schneeflocken Hat
VERSIONS 
Hat A has a shorter ribbed brim and steeply gathered crown. Directions are given for 3 sizes, each of which can be made as a fitted beanie or slightly taller toque.
Hat B has a longer ribbed brim and a rounded crown. Directions are given for 3 sizes.

Hat B is shown in size Medium made with 1 skein each of Harrisville Designs Shetland (100% wool, 217 yards/50 grams) in colors Teak (MC) and Oatmeal (CC).
GAUGE 
25 stitches and 31 rounds = 4” in Colorwork pattern on larger needle, relaxed after wet-blocking
NEEDLES 
Main Fabric Needle: One 16” circular and one set double-pointed 
Suggested size: US 3 (3.25 mm) 
Ribbing Needle: One 16” circular two sizes smaller than gauge needle 
Suggested size: US 2 (2.75 mm)
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge. You may find it necessary to use a size larger or smaller than main fabric needle for colorwork sections.
