I set out to create a long, rectangular wrap with plenty of texture and visual interest—something soothing and rhythmic to work on, yet with just enough challenge to keep things engaging. When I couldn’t find exactly what I had in mind, I designed my own, drawing inspiration from peaceful days by the sea.

The Seashore Wrap invites you to explore a variety of textured stitches while still offering an easy, enjoyable rhythm you can settle into without constantly checking the pattern. Flexible and versatile, it can be made with many yarn and hook combinations. I used a Scheepjes Whirl in Fruity ‘O’ Tutty paired with a coordinating Whirlette (Banana) and a 3.75 mm hook, but you can easily adapt it to your own style. The length is simple to customise—just add more repeats to make it as long as you wish. Finished size after blocking: 13.5 inches by 69 inches. Pattern is written in English and uses UK terms.
