The Shades of Midnight Hat is available in sizes Newborn baby to Adult Large. For this project you will need Chunky Weight Yarn.

To make the Adult Medium Hat I used 2.7 oz (78 g) and 130 yds (119 m) of King Cole Shadow Chunky & Big Value Chunky which was given to me by King Cole Yarns.

GAUGE:
• Hat Band: Approximately 10 sc in 2.5 inches and 15 rows per 4 inches
• Hat Body: Approximately 12 sts per 4 inches and 9 rows worked in pattern order per 4 inches

This hat is easy to crochet and worked from the bottom to the top in one piece.

You start with the hat band which is worked in ribbed rows and then close the band using a slip stitch seam and immediately begin making the main hat in joined rounds.

You can make this pretty hat in a single color if you prefer and that will make it even easier to crochet!

The matching scarf pattern was published last week and uses the same yarns.
