Shawllita
Looking for a smaller project for that irresistible skein of fingering weight yarn that jumped into your cart? Shawllita is just the ticket. A light and airy combination of mesh and garter stitch, with an occasional purl thrown in. The pattern is written to include beads but omitting them still results in plenty of texture. If you are new to adding beads, this is a nice manageable project to explore the beading process. If you opt to omit the beads, I suggest you use a monotone or tonal colorway to better show off the stitchwork that the beads otherwise highlight. Shawllita provides just enough coverage without weighing you down. This is a lovely wearable accessory with great styling options - try it draped over your shoulders with a pretty shawl pin fastened at the front or even wrap it closer around your neck as a cowl.
