Simple Beanie no 3 is a basic beanie with a double brim that stays fixed! It’s knit in DK weight yarn so you are sure to have a skein or two kicking around:) The hat comes in five sizes - from child to large adult!
YARN
Sandnes Garn Double Sunday – 100% merino; 118 yards (108 m) per 50 g (1.76 oz) skein or DROPS Karisma – 100% wool; 109 yards (100 m) per 50 g (1.76 oz) skein
175(195, 225, 250, 275) yards used
Light grey sample shown above is knit in Double Sunday colorway Putty(1015) and navy sample is knit in DROPS Karisma colorway 17.
MEASUREMENTS
Hat circumference 14.80” (16”, 18.5”, 20”, 21.75”) to fit 16.5” (18”, 20.5”, 22”, 24”) head – Size 1(2, 3, 4, 5) - when choosing size, aim for 1”-2” negative ease

US#4/3.50mm - 16”/40cm circular needles(3 pairs or 2 pairs and a DPN) and US#4/3.50mm DPNs
TOOLS
Four markers, one distinct color, tapestry needle and scrap yarn
GAUGE
22 sts/28 rows per 4” square using US#4/3.50 mm needles in Stockinette stitch post blocking or size needles to obtain gauge
