This is a very simple pattern. Really. The sweater is knitted in one piece, from back to front, and then stitched down the arms and sides.

Once you have mastered this basic design, you can take the concept further: by using different colors, stripes, stitch combinations, and your own unique ideas, you will be able to come up with many different sweaters that are your own creations—all from this one basic design.

I have written the pattern for 4 gauges (6, 5, 4, & 3 stitches to the inch) and two sizes (4-12 & 12-24 months)
