Skate Skier cowl
This cowl is patterned after the tracks of a skate skier. They can be a single, lonely trail through fresh snow, full of introspection and singular freedom, or many tracks, showing the fun of activities with a group of friends.
Knit up in a soft and snuggly bulky yarn, it can be a quick gift that will be worn and appreciated all winter long, or use a DK yarn for a more refined look.
NOTE:
The large size is knit with 280 yds of Bulky weight yarn. The finished size is 25” in circumference, and 17” in height. The off white sample shows was knit with two skeins of Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Bulky, in the Natural colourway. This size is noted first in the pattern, with 80 stitches cast on.
The small size is knit with 260 yds of DK weight yarn. The finished size is 24” in circumference, and 8.5” in height. The blue/green sample shown was knit with one skein of Tanis Fiber Arts Yellow Label yarn, in the Mallard colourway. The instructions for this size are shown in square brackets.
