Slantways uses simple slipped stitches to create diagonal stripes that shift direction as you work your way from brim to crown. The mosaic pattern is easy to follow and uses just one color per row, making this a fun, relaxing knit.

Yarn

346 yds / 316 m Fingering or Sock Weight
MC: 230 yd / 210 m (50g)
CC: 116 yd / 106 m (25g)
Note: If you would like to incorporate additional contrast colors, simply change to the next color when the slants shift direction (rnds 15 and 1 of the mosaic pattern).

This is a great project for using up partial or mini-skeins. Any fingering or sock weight yarn in two (or more) contrasting colors will do.
