This stocking was knit with Patons Ballybrae which has been discontinued. It was a Tweedy, heavyweight worsted yarn.

There is a two colour cast on to start. There are instructions included in the pattern.

The beauty of slip-stitch knitting is that there is no stranding required. Coloured knitting without stranding - great stuff!

It also gives a lovely textured finish to the stocking.

Knit using a 16” (40.50cm) circular needle and DPN.
