Slouchy Newsboy Hat with Short Brim Visor
Unique Slouchy Newsboy hat with banded chunky ribbing and a soft visor. (see 4th picture for alternate as a regular newsboy! Pattern INCLUDED!)
This LOOM KNIT hat was created by Kristen Mangus of GoodKnitKisses to feature a unique slouch on a newsboy hat with rich texture to stand out. The Slouchy Newsboy was originally published in 2011 and has been a popular hallmark pattern of GoodKnit Kisses. (edit: a new NEEDLE knit version is available as of Feb 2016 see link below).
As usual Kristen walks you through techniques, with video links for more advanced steps, so that even beginners have been able to knit this pattern.
Loom Knit pattern but could be worked on needles. Visor is noted all right side and hat is in the round. Written for an adult and fits a range of sizes due to the stretchy. Can be made smaller on a different loom or less bulky yarn. No blocking needed.

This pattern is meant to be worn with the slouchy part pushed back and patted down and the sides pulled down over the ears. If not worn that way, it has a very “stovetop pipe” look. Directions for snugger hat included as well as links to video tutorials at no additional charge (See 4rd photo above). This is warm hat but is light enough to not be restrictive and gets some air flow.
Size: Adult (alternates for baby-adult)
Size: Adult or Teen
Men love this in the non-slouchy version as I’m told from several happy clients! :-)
