Snowflakes for Adrienne Hat
Snowflakes for Adrienne Hat was designed to accompany the Snowflakes for Adrienne Mitts, which were originally designed as a gift for a friend, who wanted something blue. The motifs are based on traditional Fair isle patterns and the ribbing is traditional corrugated ribbing. The Hat is worked in the round from the bottom up.
A pattern for the matching mitts is available - both patterns are available together as an ebook for a discounted price.
Sizes:
S (L) to fit head circumference 57 (61) cm/22.5 (24) inches, designed to be worn with 5 cm/2 inches negative ease. Shown in size S.
Finished measurements:
Circumference 52 (56) cm/20.75 (22.5) inches. Depth 22 (23) cm/8.75 (9.25) inches.
Yarn Used:
Jamieson’s of Shetland Spindrift
2 balls in Petrol 750 (MC), 1 ball each in Aqua 929 (CC1), Surf 135 (CC2), Eggshell 768(CC3), White 304 (CC4).
There should be enough yarn left to knit the matching fingerless mitts (available in a separate pattern) if you should wish to do so. However knitting the large hat and the medium or large mitts will use up almost 50g of the MC, so depending on knitting style it is possible you may require a third ball.
