*SoleMio* starts with a provisional cast-on at one edge of the main part and is worked in one piece in a lacy eyelet pattern. When you have reached the desired width of the back, a short edging is worked to create a small sleeve. A similar sleeve is added at the other edge of the main part by picking up stitches from the provisional cast-on.

This makes a decorative accessory that protects your shoulders from a chilly breeze and helps to conceal the upper arms in a charming way.

The instructions allow knitters with some experience to adapt the width of the main part (from collar to hem) for teenagers or rather big persons. The fit of the shrug across the back is adjustable by the length of the main part.

Nach einem provisorischen Maschenanschlag in der Höhe des Ärmelschals, wird *SoleMio* quer an einem Stück in einem sehr luftigen Lacemuster an einem Stück gestrickt. Ist die benötigte Rückenbreite erreicht, wird noch eine kurze Spitze gestrickt (= kurzes Ärmelchen). Genau dieses wird auch noch direkt an den provisorischen Anschlag angefügt und fertig ist ein dekoratives Accessoire, das einerseits die Schultern vor einem kühlen Windhauch schützt und anderseits die Oberarme reizvoll kaschiert.
Die Anleitung ist so konstruiert, dass Strickerinnen mit etwas Übung es ohne Probleme auch für Jugendliche oder ganz grosse Personen anpassen können (Anpassung in der Höhe); Ansonsten ist *SoleMio* durch den beliebig langen Querstrick problemlos an jede Breite angepasst.
