This reversible cowl is started on the plaid side with a provisional cast on and and worked in Stockinette St alternating with 2 rows of contrasting color to create stripes. The long stripes in the opposite direction are done by working crochet chains. The piece is then joined into a tube using the Kitchner stitch and the stitches for the dot side are picked up around the circle. The dot side is worked in the round, color-stranded, and then bound off and joined to the plaid side with a mattress stitch.

You will need approx. 328 yds each of 2 contrasting colors. Original design was knit in #625 Celestine and #658 Deep Teal.

A chart is provided for the dots.
