Standing Stones was originally released as a mystery-knit-a-long, inspired by the Outlander Series. The original yarn color is discontinued, however, 2 skeins of any fingering weight yarn will work! The shawl pictured used a color that is slightly variegated, and creates interesting pooling throughout the shawl. If you prefer to avoid the pooling, try using a solid color, and for even more fun use 2 colors, one for the body and one for the border!
The long skinny shape of this design is almost scarf-like and makes it the perfect accessory for transitional spring and fall weather! The cables and garter body are completely reversible, and the lace border looks great on both sides as well!
I created video tutorials for how to yarn over at the beginning of the round, and how to do reversible cables. You can see those on my website here, or my Youtube channel!
