Diagonal puff stitch is a variation of the corner to corner, diagonal box stitch. This puffy stitch gives the pillow a soft, plush texture, which works well with the heathered tones of the Lion Brand Heartland yarn. The pattern includes links to tutorials.

When completed, the 3 blocks of color form diagonal striping patterns that are distinctly different on the front and on the back. The construction also makes it easy to take the pillow form out for washing when needed.
